Every serious kriyaban should know that sitting in paravastha is far more important than doing any kriya (even higher kriyas).
To analyze this statement we would have to go deep into the roots.
So why was kriya invented in the first place? No one ever answers that. Actually ancient people found that if we concentrate our minds on single point long enough , we experience a lofty state of consciousness. So they experimented on various points , did concentration on them and went deep into each point. They found out that out of all the places where one can do concentration, the best place is between eyebrows. Why? Because it attracts our attention like anything, it is basically hungry of attention. So they found out that if we give attention to the part where third eye is located our attention will automatically be still. So when their disciples approached them , they put them to attention on third eye. And called this place tapoloka in sandhya bhasha.
Now here is the secret : there are two parts of tapoloka. One is vibration that you feel between the eyebrows in middle of forehead and Second is the light that you see between the eyebrows. So ancient people called the second part yoni(vagina) and first part hairs of yoni . So the light you see is yoni(vagina) of this world and after you have seen the light and done the kriya, you feel the vibration or some kind of density in physical body near eyebrows that is called hairs of yoni because it is just extension of the real thing (not the real thing itself).
So why did i explained all of this to you? Actually , in kriya, as we all know very well, that our object of meditation is yoni itself. So what we actually want to do is give attention to yoni as much as we can. But wait , if we start concentrating on yoni at the start of our session , then it becomes very difficult indeed because of absence of the light.
So ancient rishis found out a way to ignite light before trying to meditate on yoni. And this way is "first kriya". So actual purpose of kriyas is temporary , just to ignite light , in comparison to actual purpose of paravastha. In paravastha we have to focus our whole attention on one and only one thing & that is yoni and nothing else. And this focusing of attention on yoni enables us , over the years, to merge with it and that is the state of brahma-sayujya. So the people who do the kriya and get up after doing 15 minutes of paravastha are missing the whole point.
It is said that if we meditate on yoni with light for 2 hours continuously for 2 months with our celibacy intact , then we could open our eye of wisdom or third eye. So ideal time is to do kriya with intention to ignite light in yoni and then meditate on that light for 2 hours everyday.
That's why I said in beginning that sitting in paravastha is far more important than doing any kriya.
STAY TUNED.
